Soundmaster ION integrates multiple ICONs for Star Wars
The pioneering final dub of Star Wars Episode III was made possible
by powerful algorithms exclusive to Soundmaster ION. Three Digidesign ICON
D-Control consoles, controlling Pro Tools systems containing dialog, music and effects
elements at 29.97 fps, were instantly synchronized with each other and
an external 23.976 fps high definition video player via ION. Each dubbing
mixer was able to independently use his own D-Control's transport buttons to
provide motion control over the picture, while each D-Control/Pro Tools
immediately followed in perfect sync. ION seamlessly integrated the high
definition elements, forcing "A" frame relationships automatically!
Furthermore, ION synchronized all three D-Control/Pro Tools systems
immediately and simultaneously, making it appear that they were one.
No other system can even come close to achieving what Soundmaster ION
delivered flawlessly and effortlessly for this ground-breaking dub.
If you purchase ICON consoles for post production, you are not getting
your best return on investment without Soundmaster ION to complete them.
Follow the lead of other major facilities such as Disney and Technicolor
and experience the ION advantage.
